RentBestie has no account, no analytics and no server. The AI model is inside the app and runs on your device, so your conversations are never sent anywhere.

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no email capture, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting and no device identifier of any kind. We operate no server that receives data from the app.

None of this is transmitted. Conversations are additionally marked as excluded from iCloud and computer backups, so a transcript does not travel off the device that way either.
The language model is Llama 3.2 1B Instruct from Meta, quantised and shipped inside the app. Replies are generated on your device's own processor. There is no cloud fallback and no API key to add — the app works in airplane mode, and works identically whether or not you have a connection.
RentBestie requests no permissions at all. It does not access your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, location, calendar, health data or Bluetooth. The character artwork is bundled inside the app; the app never reads from or writes to your photo library, so nothing from RentBestie appears in your gallery.
RentBestie is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.
Every companion in RentBestie is fictional and original to this app. The artwork is AI-generated and depicts no real person, and no character is taken from, based on or named after any existing anime, manga, game or series. Names, ages, home towns, occupations and life stories are invented, and the places they come from do not exist. Every character is an adult. Replies are produced by a language model and are not statements of fact.
Settings inside the app let you delete every conversation, or erase everything including your Interested and Not interested lists. Deleting the app removes all of it from your device. Because we never receive any of it, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and nothing to request from us.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
