Type [] at the start of a line, or tap the checklist button above the keyboard. Tap a box to tick it — any time, even while typing. Return adds the next item; Return on an empty item ends the list. The ⋯ menu can untick everything or remove ticked items.
Checklists, bullets (- ), numbered lists (1. ), headings (# ), quotes (> ), dividers (---), **bold**, *italic*, ~~strike~~ and `code`. Type the marks, or use the buttons above the keyboard. Notes are saved as plain text, so they read well wherever you share them.
Use the indent and outdent buttons above the keyboard. Return keeps the same level.
The arrows above the keyboard — or at the top of the note when you’re not typing — undo and redo typing, formatting, ticks and photos. For bigger steps back, use History.
Tap the folder button beside search to switch folders, or to make, rename and delete them. Move a note from its ⋯ menu. A new note goes into the folder you’re looking at. Deleting a folder never deletes its notes — they move to No folder.
Type a word with a hash anywhere in a note — #work, #recipes. Tags appear as chips above the list; tap one to show only those notes.
Tap the photo button above the keyboard, or Add photo in the ⋯ menu. Tap a photo in a note to remove it. Photos stay on your device and are never given to the AI.
Search finds notes containing every word you type, in any order. Open a result and the matches are highlighted inside the note; tap × on the gold bar to clear them.
No. The model is built into the app and runs on your device. It works in flight mode.
The model loads the first time you use an AI tool in a session — a few seconds on recent devices. After that, actions start straight away.
It’s a small model and it can mix up names or details. Nothing changes until you tap Replace or Add; rewrites have a Changes view; added figures are flagged; answers in Ask show the matching sentence from your own note. Any applied change can be undone from the pop-up, the undo arrow, or History.
Long notes are worked through a few paragraphs at a time so the model never loses track — you’ll see “part 2 of 4”. Summaries of long notes are combined into one at the end.
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi and Thai.
Before every AI change, when you leave a note you edited, and whenever you tap Save version. Each note keeps its last five.
Open the note, tap the clock icon, pick a version. “Changes since” shows what is different now, word by word; Restore puts it back. The text you restored over becomes the newest version, so you can switch back again.
Settings → Export all notes as text, then save or send the file wherever you like. The app has no sync of its own.
The saved file couldn’t be read, so the app restored the backup it keeps beside it. The last few seconds of typing may be missing. The damaged file is kept, not deleted.
