Offline AI Notepad · Last updated 27 September 2026
In one sentence: Offline AI Notepad collects nothing, sends nothing and makes no network connections — your notes, photos and everything the AI does with them stay on your device.
| What | Where | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Your notes, their titles, folders and last five versions | A file in the app's own storage on your device, with a backup copy beside it, protected by iOS file encryption | Only you |
| Photos you add to notes | Shrunk copies, as image files in the app's own storage on your device | Only you |
| Preferences (theme, text size, sort order, folder names) | The app's settings on your device | Only you |
| Ask conversations | Memory only — cleared when the app closes | Only you |
The language model is bundled inside the app and runs on your device's processor. Your notes are given to it on the device and nowhere else. There is no server, no cloud model and no download. Photos are never given to the model.
The app has no access to your photo library. When you add a photo, iOS shows its own picker and the app receives only the photo you choose. A shrunk copy is kept with the note, on the device.
If you use Share, Copy or Export, the text goes where you send it, through iOS. The app does not see what happens after that.
Deleting a note removes it (with a brief Undo); photos no note uses any more are deleted the next time the app starts. Deleting a folder never deletes its notes. Deleting the app removes every note, photo, version and setting it stored. Nothing exists anywhere else to delete.
The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the date above will change with it.
