Privacy Policy

AI Podcast is designed to run entirely on your device. Your topics, your audio, your data — all stay with you.

Last updated  May 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the AI Podcast application (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use it on your Android device. We have built the App with privacy as a default, not a feature: the language model, the text-to-speech engine, and all generated content run locally on your device.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.

1

Information We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers. The App does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not include analytics or advertising SDKs.

The only data the App creates is stored locally on your device using Android’s standard preference storage:

No content you read, search for, or hear ever leaves your device. Uninstalling the App removes all of this local data.
2

On-Device Processing

AI Podcast bundles a small open-source language model and a neural text-to-speech engine directly inside the application package. When you tap a topic, the model generates the script and the voice engine speaks it aloud — both run on your device’s CPU.

No prompts, generations, or audio are sent to any external service. The App can function entirely offline once it is installed.

3

Permissions

The App requests only the minimum Android permissions required to function. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files, or call logs.

Audio playback uses the standard Android audio output and does not require a runtime permission.

4

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, social-media SDKs, or cloud back-ends. Open-source components such as llama.cpp and sherpa-onnx are embedded as on-device libraries and do not make network calls of their own.

5

Children’s Privacy

The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is gathered or transmitted, there is no data on file that could be exposed.

6

Data Security

Because all App data stays on your device, the security of that data is tied to the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date and using a screen lock. If you uninstall the App, all local preferences and history are removed by Android.

7

Your Choices

You can clear the App’s local data at any time through Settings → Apps → AI Podcast → Storage → Clear data on your Android device. This resets Recent and Featured topics and restores the default voice and playback speed.

8

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or to applicable laws. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
